JDO RAW Awards

When I was 7, I was told the sad truth that 50/50 bread isn’t one side brown bread and one side white, but with this project, I avenged 7 year old me.
As part of the JDO Raw awards, I created ‘Weirdough’ the unique bread company that changes bread flavour every two slices. Perfect for couples with different tastes. Made for a millennial audience, I chose to make ‘Weirdough’, a fun company that prides itself on authenticity and ecological values. The main difference between this bread and others in the store is the rigid cardboard packaging, which with its hexagonal shape is similar to a bread bin. This part of the packing is reusable and encourages customers to go the the ‘Weirdough Bakery’ where they could choose their own flavour combinations.
The main idea behind Weirdough is the fun nature of it and making a choice that is normally boring and mundane into a fun and exciting one with endless possibilities.
