The year is 2040, and the pandemic drove people out of the cities. How do you entice them back?
My solution to this question was to incorporate the heavy amount of trees and nature that would have taken over the concrete structures. Ground is a tour of the city through the musical sounds of the trees. Today’s technology allows us to plug into the roots of trees and plants and listen to the musical notes but hopefully by 2040 the advancement in technology would let us experience this whilst walking by.
Ground is designed as a calming experience for people that might not feel ready to return to the city or who just need an escape. The app allows you to customise your walk and tells you more about the tree that you are listening to. The map allows you to view the ever-changing genres of music and the different locations of the city they are based in, depending on your mood.
